HG3D | Wrist-Support
The idea of the design is a closed cycle that starts with defining the client’s wrist physical dimension, by utilizing a 3D scanning machine to generate the needed digital data. Then, defining the average weight that the subjected person usually uses during his training sessions. The weight will be transferred from the hand palms to the forearm through tight fit hand gloves. Then, the topology optimization process to minimize the weight of the gloves will be performed. Finally, the use of appropriate 3D printing machine to manufacture the wrist support.
The project has been awarded by the Cairo Design Award, for more information see here.
