Lithium Designers GmbH has been awarded the TU Spin-off Label, recognizing research-based companies that successfully transfer scientific innovation into market-ready solutions.

As a spin-off rooted in the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Lithium Designers develops advanced digital planning methods and certified 3D-printed façade nodes for complex building envelopes. The company’s mission is to make free-form architecture buildable, approvable, and economically viable through the integration of computational design, engineering, and additive manufacturing.

The TU Spin-off Label highlights Lithium Designers’ approach of viewing innovation not as an end in itself, but as a practical contribution to the construction industry—bridging academic research with real-world application.

The award was presented within the framework of the innovation ecosystem fostered by HIGHEST, which actively supports the systematic transfer of knowledge from campus to market.
